Artist membership brings many benefits. The Marblehead Arts Association is one of the oldest and most prestigious arts associations in New England. Artist membership offers opportunities to exhibit in member exhibit shows throughout the year and to submit a proposal for an individual exhibit.
An $85 artist membership includes all Associate member benefits, plus:
- Listing (and link, optional) on the MAA website
- Invitation to submit art for all Member shows
- Eligible to propose solo exhibit in MAA galleries
- Eligible to submit work for sale in the gift shop & hallway galleries

Proposal Criteria for Individual or Group Exhibit
Individual Exhibit Information: Deadline June 1, 2020
All artist members must be juried in. Membership juries typically happen the second Wednesday of April and October. Categories include: Fine Art (includes Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Sculpture & Digital Art) Photography (includes Technical and Creative Retouching) Crafts (includes Jewelry, Pottery, Glass, Fiber Arts, Woodwork, Metalwork).
Eligibility for Artist Membership requires being a current Associate Member of the MAA in good standing, which can be established at the time of the jury process. Upon being juried in, artist members are requested to upgrade their membership status by paying the difference in fees.
